
Bethany Hutchison
Bethany, originally from regional Victoria, began dancing at just 3 years old, with a passion for tap dancing that has only grown over the years. Now 22, Bethany has travelled around the world training and performance as a professional tap dance artist.

Bethany has been a part of the Australian Tap Dance Festival since 2017. In 2019, she earned the title of 'Future of Tap' winner and in 2023 was selected for the mentorship program 'Bridging the Gap' under the guidance of Garry Stock.
​
Bethany was a dedicated member of the Tap Project, training under Jack Egan for 3 years, and had the honour of representing Australia at the IDO Commonwealth Cup in South Africa in 2019, where she was coached by Shane Preston. She is also a member of Garry Stock's, Studio Stocks Company.
​
In October 2024, Bethany relocated to Barcelona, Spain, after being accepted into the professional tap training program - Advanced Level at Escola Luthier De Musica/Dansa. Here, she trained rigorously five days a week, primarily focusing on tap dancing while expanding her knowledge across other dance styles and music theory.
​
During her time in Spain, Bethany had the opportunity to study with world-renowed tap dance artists, including two international guests. She spent a month with Sarah Reich including participating in the Tap Music Project intensive, as well as Derek Grant for a whole trimester. She has also had the privilege of learning from a diverse group of infulential teachers, including Guilem Alonso, Estefania Porqueras, Ruben Sanchez and Clara Martinex, among many others.

Bethany has recently been in Houston, Texas for 7 weeks over the summer working with Hyperfeet Dance Company on a tap dance theatre show called 'Love & Shuffles'
